Webflow review: who should build with it in 2026

Research note: This page is based on current public product documentation and pricing, not a claim of hands-on benchmark testing. There are no affiliate links on this page at publication.

Webflow combines visual site building, CMS, hosting and increasingly AI-assisted website workflows.

Who is it for?

Teams that want more design and CMS control than a simple no-code builder, but do not want to manage a traditional codebase for every marketing site.

Current pricing snapshot

The current Site lineup includes a free Starter plan, Basic at $15/month billed yearly and Premium at $25/month billed yearly. Ecommerce plans and Workspace plans are separate.

What stands out

  • Basic supports a custom domain and up to 300 static pages.
  • Premium adds CMS capability and more content-oriented features.
  • Workspace pricing is separate from Site pricing, so teams should model both when collaboration matters.

Main tradeoff

The main buying mistake is comparing only the Site plan price. Teams may also need a paid Workspace, seats or add-ons, so total cost depends heavily on workflow.

How we would decide

Start with the smallest plan that can validate the recurring job you are trying to improve. Compare the full operating cost, not only the headline subscription, and upgrade only when usage, collaboration or workflow constraints become the bottleneck.
